Baisikeli Ugunduzi had a great day!
The Eldorift Cycling Team from Eldoret, Kenya biked 80km to Kitale to meet with us and see the milele tube.
It was extremely uplifting to observe their genuine excitement with the product(milele tube) and hear their questions.

Milele Product Update

Sooo close... That is the way to describe Baisikeli Ugunduzi's product testing on the milele tube. Thanks to product testing by boda boda like Jeffrey, Steven, and Ramon, and charcoal/potato haulers like Charles, Isaac, and Joseph, we are nearly set to bring the milele to market. Testers feedback quickly pointed to the need for three different formulations of the milele tube. We will be manufacturing one for the rear tires of haulers, one for the rear tires of boda boca and everyday commuters, and one for everyone's front tire.

BU test rider, Titus, wins Kitale race!

We are happy to announce that Baisikeli Ugunduzi test rider Titus has won the Kitale boda boda race! Titus has been testing milele tubes for Baisikeli Ugunduzi and is a member of the Kitale race team (now nicknamed the Baisikeli Ugunduzi race team). This past Thursday, Titus won the Michael Wemalwa memorial boda boda race and took home a new motorcycle. The Kitale race team finished very well taking 8 of the top 10 positions amidst tough competition from other teams.

Baisikeli Ugunduzi has been featured in the national newspaper, The Star. The article described the problem of flat tires among boda boda drivers and how Baisikeli Ugunduzi is addressing it with a locally produced solution, the milele tube.

Baisikeli Ugunduzi has recently been featured on the radio station Milele FM. The segment discussed the problem of flat tires and the new milele tubes to be produced in Kitale. Sammy, one of the Baisikeli Ugunduzi test riders was interviewed for the occasion and spoke of his experience riding the never flatting milele tubes. The segment was well received among the local community as we heard from numerous people having heard the feature.
